A design-build company based in North Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, Scalise Homes has been building custom-designed, single-family homes for more than 40 years, and continues to be a leader in the home building industry.
We've been creating custom homes and one to two-story villas in our current development, The Legends. Nestled in a tranquil country setting in the North Huntingdon township, yet only minutes away from the cultural center of Pittsburgh, The Legends is one of the area's most exciting communities. The community is comprised of 35 home sites in Phases I and II, and 27 sites in Phase III. Phase III offers residents the same amenities in the first two phases: location and lifestyle.
Scalise Homes is now taking deposits for its patio homes. Elegantly designed, our patio homes have been designed with striking exterior elevations and dynamic interior floor plans. We offer two or three bedroom layouts. The patio homes are generously appointed with upgraded features.

Our individually unique villas have striking exterior elevations and dynamic interior floor plans. We offer the homeowner a choice of one or two-story living area with two or three-bedroom floor plans. All of our villas are generously appointed with upgraded features.
We can customize each villa to the homeowner's lifestyle. If you are looking for a covered patio, an upgraded kitchen, or a large bonus space, we can add these features for you. Deposits are accepted for lot selection in Phase III. Upon purchasing a lot, you have 18 months to begin construction of your home.

Controlling the costs of new home construction requires diligence from both the builder and the client.
The homeowner should decide on a builder, and during the first meeting should review with their builder the budget they have formulated. Not reviewing the budget with the builder in the beginning could waste valuable time getting the project started.
Allowances are an area where there could be a lot of misunderstandings and overruns. If the builder is giving you an allowance without your input, make sure the allowances are realistic for the style and quality of your home. You also have to leave a contingency for the unknown.
Spending time with the builder at the beginning of the project eliminates change orders which usually lead to unexpected costs.
